Robert A. Bianchi
Partner Bianchi & Bianchi
"A passion for justice, a track record of results," is not a slogan to Robert Bianchi, but an accurate description of how he practices law.
With a public service background as a successful Hudson County Assistant Prosecutor, Bianchi has become a leading litigator-certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Criminal Trial Attorney. Bianchi's passion for his work was proven when he was an instrumental part of the team that won one of the largest jury awards in New Jersey history.
Bianchi seeks more than financial rewards in the practice of law. Pro Bono advocacy for underprivileged and indigent clients, primarily in the areas of criminal defense and civil rights litigation, has played an important role in Bianchi's vision of the legal profession. An integral part of Bianchi's practice has been the representation of plaintiffs in numerous civil rights cases-including cases involving allegations of police brutality, false arrest, and malicious prosecution in both Federal and State courts.
As part of his commitment to public service, Bianchi worked with the Port Authority and the Jersey City Police Academies from 1991 to 1996 training police officers in appropriate cross-examination, trial presentation, and investigative techniques.
Rounding out Bianchi's commitment to service is the active role he plays in New Jersey's Italian American community. He is currently president of the New Jersey chapter of the National Italian American Bar Association, a trustee for New Jersey for the Order Sons of Italy in America and Co-Chairman of the Italian American Democratic Committee of New Jersey.
Building on a legacy of service and results, Bianchi joined his father, Angelo Bianchi, former Commissioner of Banking for the State of New Jersey, to create Bianchi & Bianchi in 1996. After graduating from Seton Hall University School of Law, Bianchi was admitted to the New Jersey Bar, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and was admitted to the Third Circuit Federal Court of Appeals. As a law school student, Bianchi got early court and trial experience while assisting both of the Essex County Prosecutors George Schneider and Herbert Tate, Jr.
Other organizations in which Bianchi is active include:
- Founder & Current President of Association of Civil Rights Attorneys
- Alumni Council for Seton Hall Law School
- New Jersey State Bar Association-member of the criminal practice committee
- Essex County Bar Association-member of the criminal practice committee
- Monmouth County Bar Association
